Forensic Social Work Services

Forensic Social Work is the application of social work to questions and issues relating to law and legal systems. Within this specialized field of practice, advocacy is focused at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels to help people understand and have a voice in their legal proceedings.


Dr. Tracie Lux is a clinical and forensic social worker who provides clients and families with emotional support and guidance while navigating court and legal systems. In addition, she works closely with clients, investigators, attorneys, and other interested parties to build and maintain effective communications to inform client advocacy.

Services Offered Include:

Consultation & Education

  • On matters related to Adult Guardianship & Conservatorship, Legal Capacity, Undue Influence, Financial Exploitation, and more

Legal

  • Referring to/consulting with legal professionals (i.e., attorneys)

  • Providing expert opinion for courts in determining care needs and best interests of the client

Forensic Investigation & Interviewing

  • Interviews with collateral individuals (e.g., family, friends, co-workers, clergy)

  • Conduct biopsychosocial investigations

  • Collection and analysis of mental health, medical, and other life-history records

Case Manager

  • Serving as a Case Manager in probate matters

Litigation Assistance

  • Conducting Research

  • Preparing Court Reports

  • Providing Case Status Updates

Court Ordered Evaluations

  • Capacity

  • Risk

  • Anger Management

Court Visitor

  • Approved Visitor in Yamhill, Marion, & Polk Counties for adult guardianship & conservatorship proceedings
