Dr. Tracie Lux, DSW, LCSW, NCG

Clinical & Forensic Social Work | Aging Care Services

I’m a Doctor of Clinical Social Work and licensed to practice in the state of Oregon. With training as a scientist, researcher, and clinician, I am skilled at thinking ‘outside the box’ in identifying and addressing psychosocial factors impacting client functioning and well-being. I do not provide therapy; rather, my services are centered around finding one's joy and purpose in life through empowerment and coaching techniques. All the parts that make up a person (mind, body, and spirit) are considered and integrated into the helping process.

Throughout my 25-year career, I have worked with diverse populations in a variety of roles within the judicial, criminal justice, non-profit, mental health, educational, and healthcare systems. In addition, I was a Medical Social Worker (primarily in the hospital setting) for nearly two decades. My experience in the medical community has created a foundation and understanding of issues related to health and wellness, trauma, chronic illness, pain, and end-of-life needs.

My private practice focuses primarily on forensic social work, geriatric care management, and consulting. For example, I specialize in matters involving undue influence and whether to pursue guardianship and/or conservatorship. I also provide supervision to other social workers, and I’m a frequent guest speaker at different institutions and sites on a number of topics. In my spare time—I enjoy reading, spending time with family, camping, and learning new things. I would describe myself as a dreamer, adventurer, and free spirit. What you see is what you get. I’m unapologetically—me!
